Christie's Sereno 1% For Good
Christie's Sereno is committed to creating a business and a culture that is mindful of our responsibility to our earth and to our community. We are always encouraged to see the good and uphold it. In an effort to support the best of our community, we have pledged to give 1% of our gross commissions to charitable or community-minded groups making a positive difference in the communities we serve.
A History of Giving
In 2006, the founders of Sereno Group set out to create an enterprise that might be more than just another real estate company. It was important to find ways to contribute to the local communities that we serve.
Through the Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation, we began with a $5,000 check to Santa Cruz County Sherriff’s Search and Rescue. After more than 10 years, we have contributed more than $5.4 million to more than 418 non-profit partners.
The North Star of our organization has always been our fidelity to civic mindedness and an obligation to the community. We know that our company’s best interests are served when anchored in a commitment to the greater good.
2022 Contributions
In 2022, we donated $230,000 from the Community Impact Fund to 26 local organizations. This includes RAFT Resource Area for Teaching and Hunger at Home.
From the Culture Fund, we donated $46,000 to 23 local organizations such as Ensamble Folcorico Colibri and the Crayon Initiative. $54,000 was donated from the Equity and Access Fund to over 27 local organizations such as Teen Kitchen Project and Morgan Autism Center.
We believe that the Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation is at the heart of our organization. It represents the spirit of who we are and defines us more than any other aspect of our company. We are lucky to have a team of outstanding real estate professionals who are committed to supporting our communities.
We strive to make the process of giving back simple and effective. By working closely with those who submit grant requests, we find ways to support charitable or community-minded groups.
