A Well-Loved Sierra Cabin Near the River! Here’s your chance to own a little piece of Sierra history! Held and enjoyed by the same family for generations, this charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin has been the setting for countless mountain memories—and more recently became a popular vacation rental, welcoming guests who came to hike, explore and enjoy this special stretch of the Sierra. Located nearly across from historic Rainbow Lodge, the cabin sits between the river, Hampshire Rocks and the I-80 corridor, putting outdoor adventure practically at your doorstep. Enjoy easy access to the river and nearby trails, including the popular Loch Leven trail system, then return to the warmth and character of a classic mountain cabin. The owners have made practical improvements while preserving its rustic charm. Two sides have been resided with Hardie® board siding, and many of the original windows have been replaced with dual-pane vinyl-clad windows. A patio provides a spot to relax outdoors beneath the trees. The location makes this an appealing four-season base camp, with convenient access to hiking, fishing, Donner Summit and nearby winter recreation. When the snow flies, community winter parking is available at Rainbow Lodge. This isn’t a polished new mountain home—and that’s part of its charm. It’s a well-loved, generations-old Sierra cabin ready for its next owner to make it their own and begin a new chapter of mountain memories. A little rustic, a lot of character, and a location that keeps calling people back.
